Blue Lake Animal Care Center has both the equipment and knowledge to deliver the compassionate medical care your sick pet needs and deserves for most cases. We can provide comprehensive hospitalization and intensive short-term care for dogs and cats. If your pet needs to be hospitalized at Blue Lake Animal Care Center, you can expect your pet to receive individualized service by our highly trained nurses and doctors. And because we use some of the most advanced veterinary technology available, we can offer outstanding patient and customer care.
There are, unfortunately, instances when a pet requires more extensive treatment than you can give at home. For these situations we offer equipment such as oxygen therapy, EKG, pulse oximetry, blood pressure monitoring, IV fluids, lab monitoring, and radiography. Each patient is closely monitored and cared for by an experienced and caring veterinary technician, and our nurses give only top-notch medical care in a compassionate and friendly manner.
When a pet needs 24 hour observation and more advanced care or diagnostics than what we can offer, we will recommend your pet be transferred to another ICU facility outside of the Tahoe basin. However, we remain in close contact with the referral hospital’s medical staff so that the doctor overseeing your pets’ care is still “in the loop.”
